About Us


Dr. Catherine Barry is a board certified osteopathic physician with subspecialty board certifications in anatomic pathology and dermatopathology.  She is currently accepting new patients with skin related disorders.  She has a special interest in melanoma and other forms of skin cancer.  Additionally, Dr. Barry performs osteopathic manipulation as an option for various ailments, i.e. headaches, back pain and neck pain.

Dr. Catherine Barry

Dermatopathologist, Anatomic Pathologist, Medical Director

Dr. Barry recently started her own practice to widen the array of services provided to patients in the Shenandoah Valley and beyond. She brings a novel approach to dermatopathology and cancer diagnostics. Patients will benefit from a collective collaboration of exceptional oncologists, dermatologists, primary care providers and surgeons in the Shenandoah Valley. She will have access to technology that allows for rapid telemedicine and live consultation with surgeons and expert pathologists. She is currently the Vice President of the American Osteopathic College of Pathology and lectures regularly at national meetings and online webinars.

Lenora Cole has over 15 years of experience in billing, data analysis and hospital information systems. She has a kind and professional demeanor while supervising and maintaining a productive and efficient working environment. Her experience and work ethic, providing a positive example to all team members. She is happy to explain any billing issues or answer questions at any time. She is a valuable resource for all employees.

Nancy Mills, HT (ASCP) QIHC

Laboratory Supervisor, Histotechnologist, Immunohistochemistry Specialist

Nancy Mills is a certified histotechnologist with over 30 years of experience in the field of pathology. She began her career at the University of Virginia pathology laboratory where she gained exceptional skills related to special stains and immunohistochemistry. She oversees all laboratory operations and manages all of the technical functions in the laboratory. She has built numerous pathology laboratories by designing protocols while maintaining an impeccable laboratory. Nancy has co-authored several book chapters in her related field, and her expertise is unmatched.
